2月19日(土) に，第12回スピーチコンテストが

行われました。回数を重ねるごとに，生徒達の

スピーチのLVが上がっており，コンテスト本番に

向けて，放課後などに一生懸命に練習している

姿に気合が感じられます。

 

ネイティヴ　ダニエル先生のコメント

「   During the last week before the speech contest

  things really started to heat up.Students were

  practicing before school, during their lunch time,

  and after school sometimes until eight P.M.

     Compared to previous years we had the biggest

  number of participants ever.On top of that, the level

  of English ability and content of the speeches was

  higher than I have ever seen. As a judge it was

  extrmely challenging to give every student the

  appropriate amount of points for their speech.

  But in the end, all judges agreed on the results.

     Reflecting on the increasing interest in the English

  speech contest, I am considering several changes

  which would provide more support, more preparation

  time, and more guidance for the students who want

  to participate.

     In  conclusion, I think that many students realize

  the importance of having strong English communicative

  skills with the ability to address a crowd would allow

  them to be successful during and after graduating from

  university. I will support this trend as much as I can.」
